Mahaparinirvan Diwas being observed on Vijayawada Division

Vijayawada Division observed  Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on 6th December, 2019 at Railway Auditorium Vijayawada. Floral tributes were paid to Babasaheb to mark his death anniversary. Shri. V. Satyanarayana, Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital, Vijayawada graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri. U. Vinay Kumar, Divisional Electrical Engineer, APSPDCL was the guest of honour.

At the outset Dr. V. Satyanarayana, CMS, Vijayawada and other dignitaries paid homage by garlanding the portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and by lighting the lamp. Addressing the large gathering present on the occasion, Dr. V. Satyanarayana, CMS, Vijayawada stated that the people of India remember Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar every day for his big gift to the Nation, the Constitution of India which provides equality, freedom and justice to all. He always fought for the rights of down trodden and under privileged people. He also called up on the people to rededicate themselves to the nation for faster development of the Nation. He opined that dream of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is equal distribution of the benefits of development. He fought for the rights of all the citizens of India and not for a particular section of the society.
Speaking on the occasion Shri U. Vinay Kumar, Divisional Electrical Engineer, APSPDCL called him the Chief Architect of Indian Constitution. He said that Dr. Ambedkar brought in a new social order based on equality and brotherhood by eradication of untouchability. He united the heterogeneous mass of India and called for campaign against discrimination of downtrodden and backward classes.   
 Shri. V. Venkata Ramana, Sr. DEE/M, Shri S. Muni Reddy, Sr.DEE/TRSO, Shri P. Chandrasekhara Babu, Sr.DFM,  Shri. P. Nehemiah, Sr. DPO, Shri. R.D. Uma Maheswara Rao, Dy. CE, other branch Officers and staff also participated. Shri. Kondala Rao, Divisional Secretary, All India SC& ST Railway Employees Association, Vijayawada, Shri. Chandrasekhar, Divisional President, All India OBC Railway Employees Association, Vijayawada & Shri. Subba Rao, Secretarty, Divisional Office Branch SCRES also spoke on the occasion and paid homage to Babasaheb.
