Safety Seminar conducted at Electric Traction Training Centre, Vijayawada
South Central Railway- Vijayawada Division conducted Safety Seminar & Training Programme for Loco pilots, Assistant Station Masters & TTEs at Electric Traction Training Centre, Vijayawada on 4th February, 2020. Shri R. K. Sharma, Chief Electrical General Engineer, South Central Railway graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The seminar was conducted in two sessions with 500 employees from various departments taking part. Dr. Atish Kapse, Naturopathist from National Education, a voluntary organization based in Nagpur gave guest lecture on “Management of Stress, Medicine free life & prevention of lifestyle disorders. Dr. Atish Kapse gave valuable information on Pain & Stress management and various YogaSanas, Pranayamas, acupressure and morning walk. He also briefed them on the importance of stress free life and necessary healthcare measures against Diabetes, Blood pressure & Cardiac Disorders.
Speaking on the occasion Shri R. K. Sharma, Chief Electrical General Engineer, South Central Railway said that Safety is the top most priority of Indian Railways and there are no holidays for Safety. He said that every employee must be alert and prompt while performing duty with a balanced State of mind and should strive for the organization’s development. He also said that an employee’s maximum potential can be tapped only when he is both physically and mentally fit and active. CEGE lauded the efforts of Shri P. Raghunath Reddy, Sr Divisional Safety Officer and his team for organizing such seminars on Safety and Health management for employees. Earlier he administered safety pledge to all the officers and staff present in the ETTC auditorium.
Later, Shri Raghunath Reddy, Sr Divisional Safety Officer, Vijayawada discussed about the safety measures & practices adopted by Vijayawada Division and advised the staff to perform the duties with sheer determination and dedication. He also said that Nukkad Nataks were conducted at many Railway level Crossings for the awareness of passengers. He thanked the employees for attending in full numbers.
