73rd Republic Day Celebrations on Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway

South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division celebrated 73^rd Republic Day at Railway Stadium, Vijayawada on 26^th January, 2022. Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Shri Shivendra Mohan, DRM unfurled the Indian National Flag on the eve of Republic Day. DRM inspected the parade contingents of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Scouts & Guides along with Shri G. Madhusudhan Rao, Sr. Asst. Security Commissioner, Vijayawada and received the ‘Guard of Honour’. Addressing the gathering, Shri Shivendra Mohan, DRM conveyed his hearty greetings to Railway employees and their families of Vijayawada Division on the momentous occasion of the 73^rd Republic Day. After the conclusion of parade, Shri Shivendra Mohan addressed the gathering and briefed about the achievements of Vijayawada Division during the current financial year and also read out the General Manager’s Message.

Shri Shivendra Mohan congratulated Shri Sk. Mastan Vali for achieving Indian Police Medal Award. DRM distributed prizes to winners of recently concluded DRM Cup Tennis tournament and congratulated all the participants. DRM felicitated Shri Y. Srinivasa Rao, Sr, Tech, ETTC, Vijayawada for his outstanding performance in the field of Kabaddi and bringing laurels to the Division. Shri Shivendra Mohan announced cash awards for RPF and other Departments for the arrangements. DRM also appreciated RPF battalions and Scouts & Guides. Later, DRM along with Branch Officers witnessed the friendly Kabaddi match organized on the occasion between Krishna District and Andhra Kabaddi teams.

Rajendra Prasad, DCM, Shri K. Sridhar, DEN, East, Smt. Shivani Kapur, DFM, Ms. Nusrat M. Mandrupkar, PRO, other Branch Officers & Staff, Smt. Jaya Mohan, President, Smt. D. Sridevi, Vice President, SCRWWO, Vijayawada, other Members and a limited gathering were present.

Dr. M. Sri Lakshmi, Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr. Nazeer Hussain, ACMS, and other Doctors of Railway Hospital visited all the wards and distributed fruits to all the patients on the occasion of Republic Day Celebrations.

Later, Smt. Jaya Mohan, President, South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization, Vijayawada unfurled the Tricolour at Jack n Jill School. Smt. D. Sri Devi, Vice President, SCRWWO, Vijayawada, Smt Usha, Secretary, Jack n Jill, other Members and School Children were present.
