Shri G. John Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway inspects Vijayawada Station









Shri G. John Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Vijayawada Station today i.e., 08th October, 2022. He was accompanied by Shri Vavilapalli Rambabu, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.
 
Shri G. John Prasad commenced the inspection from Platform No. 4 & 5 Station of Vijayawada Station and reviewed the passenger amenities. He inspected the new One Station One Product (OSOP) Stall set up to encourage local artisans and products. PCCM inspected the water vending machines and its working on the platforms and then proceeded on to Platform No.1, where PCCM inspected the South booking office, passenger amenities and circulating area. He also interacted with the staff about the work environment and the problems encountered during daily working.

PCCM interacted with the OSOP Stall owners on Platform No. 1 and advised them to make good use of the opportunity provided by the Railways to market the local produce at busy and important junction like Vijayawada. He later inspected the working of ATVM machines and interacted with the ATVM facilitators about the volume of passengers they are dealing with daily. Subsequently, he also interacted with passengers and took feedback on the working of UTS App. PCCM advised the officials to populate the UTS Mobile App among the passengers and increase the share of ticket purchase through UTS App. He also suggested to hold awareness campaigns to spread awareness amongst the passengers about the latest updates like distance relaxations and improved ease of purchase through UTS App. PCCM conducted ticket checking drive between Vijayawada and Ongole along with Officials and ticket checking staff and before concluding the inspection.
