Electric Loco Shed, Vijayawada celebrates International Women’s Day 2023

Electric Loco Shed (ELS), Vijayawada celebrated International Women's Day in a grand fashion today i.e. 08^th March, 2023 in the morning session. Shri Dinesh Reddy, Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer, ELS, Vijayawada graced the occasion as Chief Guest. All the Branch officers, staff, working women employees of the Depot and outsourced women employees took part in the celebrations enthusiastically.

Shri Dinesh Reddy, Sr. Divisional Electrical Engineer, ELS, Railway Hospital, Vijayawada, said that women play an undisputed leadership role in the family and in the Nation building. He said that the main objective of celebrating this day, is to highlight the importance of women empowerment, to make them independent on all aspects and to bring gender equality in the social order of the society. He congratulated the women workforce of the Division for their indomitable spirit, dedication and their contribution to the Division’s success story. Shri Dinesh Reddy and Officers felicitated Smt. Mani, Eldest Women Employee of the Depot, superannuating this July with shawl and memento for her dedication and long service to the Railways

Cultural programmes like Singing, skit and dance events were performed by the Women Employees. Lunch was arranged for the entire staff.  Later, Mementos have been distributed to the winners and participants in cultural programmes.
