Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, PCCM, SCR holds meeting with Parcel Merchants and inspects Vijayawada Station

Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway presided over a meeting with Parcel Merchants at VIP Lounge Room, Station Directors Office, Platform no.1, Vijayawada Station. Shri V. Rambabu, Sr. DCM and Shri D. Narendra Varma, Sr. DOM took part in the meeting with Parcel Merchants and accompanied PCCM during the  Station Inspection

At the outset,  Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, PCCM thanked the Parcel Merchants for their outstanding contribution towards railway revenue especially in FY 2022-23. 

Shri K. Raveen Kumar took stock of their demands for more rakes and room to transport consignments to North Eastern parts and Howrah. PCCM assured them full scale assistance in this regard. He advised the Officials to devise an  action plan to accomodate the merchants demands for more space in SLR and Parcel Vans by coordinating with the counter parts in the other zones and Divisions. PCCM appealed to the parcel merchants to avoid train detentions and untoward incidents due to rough handling and over loading. PCCM said that passenger safety and punctuality are top most aspects in train operations. 

Later, PCCM conducted inspection of Passenger Amenities at Vijayawada Station. PCCM inspected the Ticket  Checking Lobby and reviewed the working of HHT machines. PCCM also inspected the south circulating area, Parcel Office and Parking stands and concluded the inspection

Shri Md Ali Khan, DCM; Shri P.B.N. Prasad, Station Director, Other Officers and inspectors took part in the inspection programme.
