Water Kiosk services to quench the thirst of Passengers set up at Vijayawada Railway Station

South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division has set up Water Kiosk Services to quench the thirst of its esteemed passengers at Platforms 1 & 6-7 on 29th May, 2023 at Vijayawada Railway Station. Shri D. Srinivasa Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Infrastructure & District Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides inaugurated the Water Kiosk services today along with Shri M. B. Muralidhar, Sr.DPO & District Secretary, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Vijayawada Division, SCR.  Around 50 Bharat Scouts & Guides Students of Vijayawada took part in the water distribution services.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri D. Srinivasa Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager said that these voluntary water kiosk services are launched with a motto to serve its esteemed passengers at Vijayawada Station. He said that this water kiosk services will be available till 10th June, 2023 would be manned by 50 Bharat Scouts & Guides Staff. He lauded the services of Bharat Scouts & Guides Organization for always being in the forefront and providing valuable services to the needy on several occasions. Shri D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM appealed to the esteemed passengers to utilize the water kiosk services and keep hydrated at regular intervals due to prevailing severe heat conditions in the city. He also stressed on importance of saving water by using it judiciously for a better future.

Later, Shri D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Shri M. B. Muralidhar, Sr.DPO distributed water and butter milk in paper cups to the  Express trains crew, passengers on Platform no. 1. Shri P.B.N Prasad, Station Director, Shri Ravi Prakash, Station Manager, Shri M. Gopalakrishna, Asst District Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Vijayawada, SCR and students took part in the event.
