Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM inspects Electric Loco Shed, Vijayawada

Newly commissioned 3-Phase Traction Motor Testing Panel inaugurated

Shri Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, inspected Electric Loco Shed (ELS), Vijayawada yesterday i.e., 21st August, 2023. Shri. S Muni Reddy, Sr. DEE, ELS, Officers of ELS and Staff accompanied Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM throughout the inspection programme.

At the outset,  Shri. S Muni Reddy, Sr. DEE, ELS welcomed Shri Narendra A. Patil DRM and everyone undertook Plantation Drive towards greener environment near Ruby Kala Vedika of ELS, Vijayawada. Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM inaugurated newly commissioned 3-Phase Traction Motor Testing Panel installed in Traction Motor section and  inspected the hammer provision being done in Electric Locos by Body section.

DRM also inspected the practical working of Traction Motor Drop Detection System (TMDDS) recently launched by ELS, Vijayawada in WAP-4 locomotives to prevent derailment in case of Traction motor dropping. DRM inspected the inspection Bay and newly developed Wheel Set Repair Shop.

Addressing the staff in Conference Hall, Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM complimented the  ELS Unit for the innovative TMDDS modification developed by ELS, Vijayawada and advised all supervisors to come up with innovation in working style in both Technical and Non-Technical aspects, which improves safety, reliability and reduces time and manpower requirement. DRM also instructed all supervisors to be alert and vigilant to find faults that violate safety and take proper action immediately to rectify faults defected. DRM stressed that all should ensure safety with utmost priority to prevent untoward incidents. 

Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM interacted with Staff, Supervisors and advised them to take proper care of personal safety in work and good care of health by inculcating the habit of walking daily for 30 minutes or doing Yoga regularly.
