‘Remo’ bags Second Place in Explosive detection at All India RPF Dog Competition




Dog ‘Remo’- Labrador Retriever of Divisional RPF Dog Squad bagged second place in Explosive detection at All India RPF Dog competition.  South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division RPF Dog Squad took part in the All India RPF Dog competition held at Zonal training Center, Subedarganj, Prayagraj, Agra Division, North Central Railway from 08th  to 10th  September, 2023. Total 60 Dogs from 11 Teams (Zones) across Indian Railways participated in this competition. Dog Remo secured second place in bomb detection among all the other dogs with great speed and ease. South Central Railway Zone also bagged the Overall Championship Cup in the Dog Competition this year. 

Previously Remo Bagged first place in the All India RPF Dog competition held at Zonal training centre, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in the year 2021.

Shri Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway  Manager , Vijayawada Division, Shri. Valleswara B. Thokala, Sr. Divisional Security Commissioner, Shri. G.MadhusudhanaRao, Asst. Security Commissioner, appreciated the Dog Handler Shri. B Vijayaraju, ASI, RPF and Support handler Shri. G. G. Mahesh Babu, Head Constable for their best efforts in training Remo.
