Vijayawada Division to host Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament (15th to 22nd December, 2023)

Vijayawada Division Sports Association, South Central Railway shall be organizing 7^th DRM's Cup Cricket Tournament for all the Departments over Vijayawada Division from 15^th to 22^nd December, 2023 at Railway Stadium, Vijayawada. This Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament is being held for its Employees as a part of promotion of Sports activities in Vijayawada Division.

12 teams from different Branches such as 1) Mechanical (C&W) 2) Railway Protection Force (RPF) 3) Commercial 4) Electrical Loco Shed (ELS) 5) Diesel Loco shed (DLS) 6) Operating 7) Accounts 8) Personnel 9) Engineering 10) Electrical (Maintenance & TrD) 11) Electrical (TRSO) 12) Signal & Telecommunications (S&T) shall be taking part in the above said tournament.

 

All the cricket matches shall be played on 20 overs per side in knock out fashion in the preliminary phase. Semi-Final & Finals matches shall be limited to 25 overs per side. The winners will be awarded with I^st and II^nd Individual prizes and Trophies. The timings of the matches are as follows:

a)       Morning Match: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and

b)      Evening Match: 02:00 PM to 05:30 PM.

 

One Best team from Vijayawada Division shall be selected in this tournament to participate in the forthcoming South Central Railway Inter-Divisional Cricket Championship.
