Amrit Bharat Train flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister receives grand welcome on Vijayawada Division
The
Malda Town – SMVT Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Train was flagged off by Shri Narendra
Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister on 30th December 2023 and it made a
night halt on the first day at Cuttack. On the second day, the train continued
its journey from Cuttack to Vijayawada.
On
Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway the inaugural special Malda Town – SMVT
Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Train made a halt at Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru and
Vijayawada on 31st December 2023.
At Tuni Railway Station, representatives of various political parties and trade unions
gathered to see the train. At Samalkot Railway Station, Smt. Karri
Padmasree, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Council, ZRUCC & DRUCC Members, Members
of Station Consultative Committee representatives of various political parties
and trade unions welcomed the train. At Rajahmundry Railway Station,
Shri Margani Bharat Ram, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Somu Veer Raju, BJP
National Leader, Sri K Dinesh Kumar Municipal Commissioner, Rajahmundry, Shri V
Venu Gopal, Hon’ble ZP Chairperson, East Godavari District, ZRUCC & DRUCC Members,
Members of Station Consultative Committee representatives of various political
parties and trade unions welcomed the train. At Eluru Railway Station,
Smt. Ghanta Padmasri, Hon’ble Zilla Parishad chairperson, West Godavari District,
ZRUCC & DRUCC Members, Members of Station Consultative Committee representatives
of various political parties and trade unions welcomed the train.
Shri Malladi Vishnu, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly
along with Shri Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada
Division and Senior Railway officials welcomed and boarded the Amrit Bharat
Express at Vijayawada Railway Station. The Hon’ble MLA and DRM also interacted
with the Media and briefed them about the new features of the Amrit Bharat
Train. Speaking on the occasion, the DRM explained the modern facilities
available in the train and said that the state-of-the-art 'push-pull' train was
the first of its kind in India. He emphasized that the train was equipped with
the latest technology and modern comforts for the middle-class people of the
country.
On
1st January 2024, on its onward journey to its final destination,
the inaugural special Malda Town – SMVT Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Train started
from Vijayawada halting at Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur in Vijayawada
Division and completing its run up to SMVT Bengaluru on the same day.
At Tenali Railway Station, Smt. T.Radhika, Hon’ble Chairperson, Tenali Municipality and at
Ongole Railway Station, Smt. Gangada Sujatha, Honble Mayor, Ongole and
at other stations too representatives of various political parties and trade
unions gathered to welcomed the newly inaugurated train.
