SCR Vijayawada Division’s Guthala Rambabu, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding Star, Calls on Shri P E Edwin, ADRM (Infrastructure)

South Central Railway’s Vijayawada Division takes immense pride in the achievements of Shri Guthula Rambabu, a dedicated Trackman from Rajahmundry. Serving with the Railways since 2012, he has not only been a valuable team member but also a formidable force in the world of sports.

In recognition of his outstanding achievements and consistent performance over the years, Shri Guthula Rambabu called on Shri P. E. Edwin, ADRM (Infrastructure), Vijayawada Division on 9th July 2025. The ADRM lauded Rambabu for his discipline, dedication, and for serving as an inspiration to others.

“Rambabu is a true example of how passion and perseverance can create excellence, both on the tracks and on the stage. His contribution to Indian sports and to the Railways is commendable. We are proud to have such multifaceted talent in our Division,” said Shri P. E. Edwin, ADRM (Infrastructure), Vijayawada Division, SCR.

A passionate athlete and fitness enthusiast, Shri G. Rambabu has participated in over 150 powerlifting and bodybuilding championships at both state and national levels. His unwavering commitment to fitness and strength sports has consistently brought accolades not just to the Division but to the entire South Central Railway Zone.

Notably, he clinched first place in both bodybuilding and powerlifting categories at the Andhra Bodybuilding Association Championships. His most recent triumph came at the SBKF 8th National Games 2023, held in Delhi, where he secured first place in the 45+ age category. Rambabu lifted a total of 510 kg, including a 110 kg bench press, 170 kg squat, and a 210 kg deadlift—testament to his extraordinary strength and discipline. He also bagged first place in bodybuilding in the same age group.

The South Central Railway and Vijayawada Division family congratulates Shri Guthula Rambabu on his well-deserved success and wishes him continued strength and achievements in all his future endeavours.
