Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR Conducts Inspection of Pagidipalli – Guntur – Vijayawada Section

  

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Pagidipalli – Guntur – Krishna Canal – Vijayawada section on 05th August, 2025. He was accompanied by Smt. Sudeshna Sen, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division and Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division within their respective divisional jurisdictions. Other senior officials from Headquarters and Division were also present throughout the inspection.

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava carried out a rear window inspection in Secunderabad – Pagidipalli – Guntur – Krishna Canal – Vijayawada section, during which he reviewed the safety aspects of signaling systems and maintenance of Railway tracks in the section. The General Manager conducted a detailed inspection of Nalgonda Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities including waiting hall, Divyangjan toilets, lift, water facility etc. He also inspected the platform and circulating area. The General Manager reviewed the progress of redevelopment works undertaken at Nalgonda station as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and examined the safe working practices at the construction site.

Further, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava conducted a detailed performance review meeting along with Divisional Railway Manager and other divisional officials at Guntur Division Headquarters. The divisional officials gave a brief presentation on the status and progress of various developmental projects undertaken by the division. The General Manager also participated in tree plantation program along with other officers at Guntur.

The General Manager inspected Mangalagiri Railway station, he reviewed the passenger amenties and other facilities at the station. He also inspected the redevelopment works undertaken as part of ABSS and advised the officials to ensure all safety guidelines and further speed up the works so as to complete the project as targeted.

Later, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava held a detailed performance review meeting along with Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other divisional officials at Vijayawada. During the meeting, the General Manager reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects, station redevelopment works, provision of passenger amenties, traffic facility works etc., undertaken by the division. During the course of inspection, General Manager received representations from members of various trade unions.
