Vijayawada Division organizes Tiranga Bike and Cycle Rally to commemorate Independence Day-2025
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign—2025
As
part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025, the Vijayawada Division of Indian Railways organised a majestic Tiranga Bike and Cycle Rally on August 12, 2025. The rally was a vibrant expression of unity,
patriotism, and the enduring spirit of freedom that binds the nation together.
The event commenced with a solemn pledge ceremony led by Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), where participants reaffirmed their commitment to serve the nation with integrity and pride. DRM, Shri Sonakiya, then flagged off the rally from the historic Clock Tower near Vijayawada Railway Station, leading the procession with resolute pride. He was joined by Shri Srinivasa Rao Konda, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), along with all Branch Officers of the division.
With
the Tricolour held high, the rally proceeded through Station Road and BRTS Road, culminating at the Electrical Traction Training Centre in Satyanarayanapuram, where it echoed the message of unity, sacrifice, and national pride. The spirited
participation of the Vijayawada Division was a glowing testament to the soul of Har
Ghar Tiranga—a celebration of freedom, unity, and unwavering patriotism.
Addressing the gathering, DRM Shri Mohit Sonakiya praised the overwhelming participation and underscored the importance of collective engagement in national initiatives. He emphasised that Indian Railways is not only the lifeline of the nation’s infrastructure but also a torchbearer of civic responsibility and patriotic values.
Adding to the vibrancy of the campaign, Tiranga Exhibition Galleries and Selfie Booths were creatively set up by the Commercial Department at Vijayawada Railway Station and Divisional Offices, allowing citizens and staff to capture moments of national pride.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 500 railway employees across various departments of Vijayawada Division, along with volunteers from Scouts and Guides, Jack & Jill School, and Kendriya Vidyalaya School (Vijayawada), making the event a grand success.
