Railways to Launch ‘Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0’ from 1st to 30th November, 2025
As envisaged by the Ministry of
Railways, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway is launching the Digital
Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 from 1st to 30th November,
2025. Every year, pensioners have to submit Life certificate in the month of
November for continuation of pension. The digital life certificate campaign has
been undertaken on a large scale to empower the pensioners and ensure a more
seamless and convenient process of submitting life certificates. This
initiative will benefit all the pensioners, especially senior pensioners by affording them the ease of digitally submitting life
certificate.
The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare in
collaboration with UIDAI & MeitY, has launched Face Authentication for
enhancing the “Ease of Living” of Government Pensioners. In the last three
years, more than 4.50 crore Digital Life Certificates have been generated by
pensioners belonging to both State and Central Governments.
The Main advantages of Digital Life Certificates are:
a.
Convenience: Eliminates the need for pensioners to visit Pension
Disbursing Offices for submission of their Life Certificate. Pensioners can submit their life certificates
digitally from the convenience of their residences.
b. Time-Saving:
Simplifies the process of obtaining a life certificate, saving pensioners time and effort.
c.
Security: Adhaar-based Biometric authentication adds a layer of
security to the process, reducing the risk of fraudulent claims
Process of submitting Life Certificate

Technology is based on Aadhaar using Android based smartphone.

The
Pensioner/Family pensioner need to go to the Google play Store and search for
“Aadhaar Face RD (Early Access) Application “ by UIDAI with latest version
(presently 1.3.2).

After
successfully installing the Aadhaar Face RD App on the device, it will appear
in the Settings under App Manager or App Info. This application is used for the
background process of the Jeevan Pramaan Application, so it is mandatory to
install it.

Once
the Aadhaar Face RD App is installed, the pensioner/family pensioner needs to
download another application called “Jeevan Pramaan” form the Google Play Store
with version 4.0.5.
Aadhaar-based Face Authentication needs the following information.

Click
on the submit button.
After successful submission of the above details, the pensioner shall also receive an SMS on the mobile number provided during pensioner authentication, the SMS contains the Pramaan-id and the link (https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ - Pensioner Login/ Sign in – Enter Jeevan Pramaan ID) from which the DLC can be downloaded
