National Cyber Security Awareness Month Concludes at Vijayawada Division, SCR

 

 

 

Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway, successfully concluded the observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month-2025, organised under the theme “Cyber Jagrit Bharat.” The month-long campaign focused on promoting awareness about safe digital practices and strengthening cyber hygiene among railway employees.

As part of the observance, a series of competitions were held at the Divisional Auditorium, Vijayawada, including Quiz, Poster Making, and Essay Writing events. Employees actively participated and showcased their creativity and understanding of cybersecurity practices at the workplace and in their personal life.

Awards were presented to the winners of various competitions by Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager. Shri Srinivas Rao Konda, Additional Railway Divisional Manager (Operations); Shri P Satish Shankar Sr. Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer and other senior officials of the Division were present during the award ceremony. The initiative emphasised the importance of cyber vigilance in safeguarding personal data and maintaining the integrity of organisational systems. Participants were also given certificates of participation.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, SCR, said, “Cyber security is not just a technical necessity but a shared responsibility. Every alert click, every cautious step online strengthens the digital shield of Indian Railways. Awareness is our first line of defence.” He also commended the S&T Department for successfully conducting various awareness programmes and competitions.

The observance served as a reminder that for cybersecurity, continuous awareness is the key to building a safer digital ecosystem across Indian Railways.
