Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertakes Inspection of Vijayawada Division

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Vijayawada Division on 31st January, 2026. He was accompanied by Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.

The General Manager commenced the inspection from Tanuku, wherein he examined the safety aspects of tracks at Point No.103B at KM NO-137/04-10 and Level Crossing Gate No.151. Further, he conducted a detailed inspection of Narsapur Railway station, where he reviewed the passenger amenities, circulating area, coach depot and yard. The General Manager also reviewed the progress of redevelopment works undertaken at the station as part of Amrit Stations scheme.

Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava inspected the track maintenance and safety at Curve No.32 at KM 107 at Bhimavaram yard. He also undertook detailed inspection of Bhimavaram Town Railway station and reviewed the passenger amenities and facilities. Further, he inspected Level Crossing Gate No.95 and Upputeru Bridge No.149 in the section. He also inspected the traction sub-station near Gudivada Railway station. The General Manager also visited Gudivada Railway Station, wherein he inspected the newly renovated waiting hall, washrooms and other passenger amenities.

Further, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava undertook detailed inspection of Machilipatnam Railway Station. He reviewed the passenger amenities and inspected the station master’s office and circulating area. The General Manager also took stock on the progress of Machilipatnam Amrit Station works and advised the officials to ensure safety at the construction site and further speed up the works to complete the project by the targeted date. 

During the course of the inspection, the General Manager received representations from various public representatives regarding Rail developmental works pertaining to their region.
