Temporary Increase in Platform Ticket Rate at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry & Nellore Railway Stations to Regulate Non-Travelling Public during Sankranthi Festival Season

In view of the ensuing Sankranthi festival season, it is anticipated that there will be huge crowd of rail travellers as well as accompanying non-travellers at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Nellore Railway Stations.

In order to regulate the flow of people to enter the platforms and avoid inconvenience to the travelling public by means of ensuring decongestion of platforms, the rate of Platform Ticket at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Nellore Railway Stations will be enhanced from present Rs. 10/- to Rs. 20/- for a period of 10 days i.e. from 11th to 20th January, 2019 (both days inclusive).
