“New Railways – New Andhra Pradesh” – Booklet Released
As per the directions of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Indian Railways is committed towards rail development works in Andhra Pradesh and several developmental works had taken place in the last four years.
Showcasing all the rail developmental activities including infrastructure and other safety measures taken place in the state of Andhra Pradesh, capsulated in the form of a Booklet “New Railways – New Andhra Pradesh”.
Shri Gokaraju Ganga Raju, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha released the Booklet “New Railways – New Andhra Pradesh” in the presence of Shri R. Dhananjayulu, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway at Bhimavaram Town Railway Station on Thursday, on 17th January, 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Gokaraju Ganga Raju, Hon’ble MP said that Andhra Pradesh is the witness to the best period of rail development in the last 4 years. Shri Gokaraju Ganga Raju also said that the Annual Budget grant of Railways in Andhra Pradesh has increased by 232% in 2018-19 compared to 2014-15 financial year and the capital investment rose from Rs.886 Crore between 2009-14 to Rs.2830 Crore between 2014-19.
Shri K. Govinda Rao, Municipal Chairman, Bhimavaram, Shri M.V.S. Ramaraju, ADRM (Infrastructure), Shri P. Bhaskar Reddy, Sr.DCM, Shri Suryanarayana, Sr.DEN (Co-Ord), Shri Varun Babu, DEN/East and other branch officers and staff were present.
