Vijayawada Division celebrates 128th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

Vijayawada Division celebrated 128th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar at Railway Auditorium, Vijayawada on 15th April, 2019. Shri M. V. S. Ramaraju, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure) graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Shri M. V. S. Ramaraju, ADRM, Vijayawada said that Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is the greatest Social and Religious Reformer the nation had ever seen, who worked for emancipation of oppressed classes of the society by abolishing untouchability. ADRM also said that under the Chairmanship of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar the Drafting Committee of Constituent Assembly had framed the Constitution of India, which was adopted on 26th November, 1949 and came into force on 26th January, 1950. ADRM appealed to young generation to draw inspiration from all the walks of life of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a renowned scholar with command in 64 subjects and knowledge of 9 languages. ADRM advised the staff to reflect the ideas and thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the founding father of Indian Republic & harbinger of equality, in their day to day working

Later, Shri M. V. S. Ramaraju garlanded and paid tributes to the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Shri A. P. Siva Chander, Sr. DFM, Vijayawada; Shri M. Srikanth, Sr. DEnHM, Vijayawada; Shri K. Balaraj, Divisional Personnel Officer, Branch officers, Trade Union leaders were also present.
