Introduction of Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada UDAY Express

Ministry of Railways has approved the introduction of New Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express with effect from 26th September, 2019.

Inaugural special:

Train No. 02701 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada inaugural special train will leave Visakhapatnam tentatively at 11.30 hrs o­n 26th September, 2019 with the stoppages of Train No. 22701. In the return direction it will run as Train No. 02702 Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam special train to open fast timings.

The regular services of Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express will commence from 27th September, 2019 as detailed below:

Regular services of Train No. 22701/22702 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express:

Accordingly, Train No. 22701 Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada Uday Express will depart Visakhapatnam at 05:45 hrs from 27th September, 2019 (05 days a week except Thursdays and Sundays) and arrive Vijayawada at 11:15 hrs o­n the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 22702 Vijayawada – Visakhapatnam Uday Express will depart Vijayawada at 17:30 hrs from 27th September, 2019 (05 days a week except Thursdays and Sundays) and arrive Visakhapatnam at 23:00 hrs o­n the same day.

Enroute, these trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot Jn, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem and Eluru stations in both the directions.

These trains will consist of AC Double Decker chair car coaches.
