Vijayawada Division Sports Association organizes Prestigious SCR Inter Divisional Football Championship from 26th to 28th September 2019 in Railway Stadium, Vijayawada

Shri M V S Rama Raju, Additional Divisional Railway Manager has inaugurated the SCR Inter-Divisional Football Championship today in Railway Stadium, Vijayawada. He expressed the participants not to make injures since the play field is with water due to rainfall and play sportsman spirit. Sri K.Srinivas, Divisional Sports officer & Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer has attended as Guest of honour and advised worth team to win but not the host team Vijayawada. Sri Nidhi, Chief Coach of SCR team from Secunderabad has mentioned that Shri V.Kannan has rendered tremendous service not only to Vijayawada Division but also for total SCR team and he is going to superannuation on 30.9.19.N.Arjuna Rao, Chief Staff &Welfare Inspector (Sports) and Shri V Kannan, Football Coach of Vijayawada Division were present in the inaugural function. 

Before that, teams from Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Guntakal, Combined Workshops, Headquarters and Vijayawada have rendered outstanding colorful match fast with Scout Band in the opening ceremony.

Due to water stagnation in the Football play field, matches could not be conducted and the same will commence from tomorrow 7am in Railway Stadium. 

Tournament will conducted on knockout system.

Sri V.Kannan, Senior Football player & Coach of Vijayawada Division Football team who has rendered more than 37 years of tremendous service to the Vijayawada Football team as player cum Coach & having so many medals in the All India Railway & Inter- Dividional Football Championships has been grandly felecitated by  all the other Divisional Football players in the presence of Sri K.Srinivas, Divisional Sports Officer & Senior Divisional Mechanical and Sri K.Rajendra  Prasad, Divisional Commercial Manager today. They expressed thier happiness & gratitude towards his dedication for the Football game. He is an outstanding Footballer & lovable  coach and greeted him with happy & peaceful life as a part of his superannuation on 30.09 2019.
