Seminar on 'Swachh Aahaar' conducted as part of Swachhta Pakhwara

Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway conducted seminar on 'Swachh Aahaar' as a part of fortnight long cleanliness campaign Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Hi Sewa at Divisional Conference Hall, Vijayawada on 25th September, 2019. Smt. G. Sumana, Additional Divisional Railway manager, Vijayawada graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. G. Sumana, ADRM, Vijayawada Division briefed the gathering on hazards of plastic contamination and instructed the food stall contractors, cleaning contractors and vendors participated in the meeting to strictly implement the ban on 'Single Use Plastic' in all forms from 2nd October, 2019. ADRM also instructed the Branch Officers & staff to effectively implement the norms and guidelines prescribed by Central Pollution Control Board in pursuit of Clean Environment.

Later, Shri K. Srinivas, Sr. Divisional Mechanical Engineer, Vijayawada Division gave a PowerPoint Presentation on 'Review of Cleaning Contracts' and briefed the gathering on current position of cleaning contracts in Vijayawada Division.

Shri Ram Chandra Sahoo, Sr. DEnHM, Shri Ramesh Gaikward, DEnHM, Shri G. Somasekhar Naidu, DCM, other Branch officers, staff, contractors and vendors participated in Seminar.
