Shri Gajanan, General Manager, SCR conducts Annual Inspection of Vijayawada Division

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook the Annual Inspection of Duvvada - Rajahmundry Section on Vijayawada Division on 4th December, 2019. Commencing from Duvvada Railway Station, the inspection covered all the major Railway Stations enroute till Rajahmundry. Shri P. Srinivas, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division accompanied General Manager throughout the Inspection.

The inspection commenced with the inspection of Manned Level Crossing Gate between Thadi – Anakapalle stations and carried out a thorough examination of the essential safety equipment available at Gate Cabin, approach roads, track visibility and first aid availability etc. The General Manager inaugurated 1KwP Solar Power Plant towards green initiative at Level Crossing Gate.

Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager inspected Anakapalle Railway Station. He inspected station premises, circulating area, platforms, Station Manager’s Office etc. He inaugurated ‘Train Guidance Display System’ and ‘Commercial Management System’ Apps in the station. He also interacted with media personnel and briefed them on developmental plans in the region. Shri G. Amaranath, Hon’ble MLA, Anakapalle, Shri B. Naga Jagadeeshwara Rao, Hon’ble MLC met the General Manager and discussed on various rail developmental issues and submitted memorandums. Later, Shri Gajanan Mallya inspected Major Bridge between Anakapalle – Bayyavaram stations. He also conducted a speed test between Narsipatnam Road and Tuni Railway stations.

At Tuni, the General Manager inspected station premises, platforms, passenger amenities, yard, Health Unit and Permanent Way Office. He interacted with Gangmen and enquired about the safety equipment provided to them. He inaugurated Freight Management Module, Children Park. He also interacted with Passenger Associations, Trade Unions and received representations from them. Shri Gajanan Mallya inspected Electrical Substation between Tuni – Hamsavaram and planted saplings. He also inaugurated Traction Distribution Asset Management Software System. At Annavaram, Shri Gajanan Mallya inspected station, circulating area, passenger amenities and discussed about the development plans of the station with the officials. He planted sapling in the station premises. At Samalkot, Shri P. Dora Babu, Hon’ble MLA, Pithapuram met the General Manager and discussed rail developmental plans in his region. Shri Gajanan Mallya released a poster commemorating completion of 60 years of East Godavari & Cocanada Passenger Association which was established in 1959.

At Rajahmundry, Shri Gajanan Mallya inspected Crew Booking Lobby and inaugurated Crew Monitoring System. Shri G. Butchaiah Chowdary, Hon’ble MLA, Rajahmundry Rural, Smt. Adireddy Bhavani, Hon’ble MLA, Rajahmundry Urban, Shri Somu Veerraju, Hon’ble MLC met the General Manager and discussed rail developmental plans. Shri Ram Kripal, Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Central Circle; Shri K. V. Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Engineer; Shri K. Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Operations Manager; Shri John Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager; Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunications Engineer; Shri A. A. Phadke, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer; Shri J. K. Jain, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer; Shri Brajendra Kumar, Principal Financial Advisor; Shri Srinivasa Rao, Principal Chief Personnel Officer; Dr. T.J. Prakash, Principal Chief Medical Director; Shri G. M. Eswara Rao, Principal Chief Security Commissioner, SCR and other officials accompanied.
