Vijayawada Division observes 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas'

 

 

 

 

The birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was observed by Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway as 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' today i.e., 29th October, 2020. Shri P Srinivas, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada, Shri M.V.S. Ramaraju, ADRM (Infrastructure), Smt. G. Sumana, ADRM (Operations) along with other officials took part in the Pledge. 

Shri P Srinivas, DRM administered the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' Pledge virtually to all Branch officers and staff through a live web link. He advised all the staff to draw inspiration from greatest freedom fighter Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel- ‘Iron man of India’ who with strong will and determination worked for unification of Modern India by integrating nearly 550 princely states.

The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also observed in all the Depots and Stations across the length of Vijayawada Division. Supervisors/ In-charges of all the stations administered the pledge to their respective staff  and also were briefed on the importance of the occasion to boost their moral strength and uplift their sense of Unity.  

The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was read as “I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the Unity, Integrity and Security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of Unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my Country.”
