Inauguration of New RPF Post Building on Platform No.01 at Vijayawada Railway Station

A newly constructed spacious RPF Post Building was inaugurated by Shri G M Eswara, IG-cum-PCSC, SCR in the presence of Shri Shivendra Mohan, DRM, Vijayawada Division, SCR on 5th January 2022

The two-floor building constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.4 Crore is located on Platform No.1 towards the North-end of the station. With a total build up area of 3200 square feet on the two floors, it will be an invaluable asset and will in improving the public interface and functioning of RPF, Vijayawada Post.

The construction was taken up by RVNL. This state-of-the-art building is equipped with all the required amenities like CCTV Monitoring Room, Case Property Room, Lock Up, Disaster Management Equipment Room, Officers Rest Room, Separate rooms for Woman Staff, IPF & SIPF along with a separate hall for conducting 'Suraksha Sammelans' for the Officers and Staff.

Shri Eswara Rao commended the work done by RVNL and acknowledged the contribution of Shri Sachin Bhalode, DIG/NR who was earlier Sr.DSC Vijayawada Division in commencing and monitoring the progress of the works. He wished the RPF team to continue with the same zeal and enthusiasm and keep passenger security as the top priority.

He also congratulated Shri Valleswara B. Thokala, Sr.DSC for excellent team work they showcase during any untoward incident to nab the culprits in minimum possible time.

Shri Shivendra Mohan, DRM also thanked the RVNL team for timely completion of the infrastructure and assured that Vijayawada Division always puts customers first.

Shri M Srikanth, ADRM (Operations); Shri D Srinivasa Rao ADRM (Infra); Shri Valleswara B. Thokala, Sr.DSC; Shri G. Madhusudana Rao, ASC/BZA, T. Chandrasekhara Reddy, Inspector/RPF/Vijayawada Division; Shri Suresh, Station Director, Vijayawada Railway Station and other officers also were present during the inauguration.
