Permanent closure of Level Crossing No. 462 A between Gullipadu and Narsipatnam Road Stations

South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division has permanently closed Manned Level Crossing Gate No.462 A at Km no. 700/49-51 between Gullipadu- Narsipatnam Road Stations today i.e., 31^st January, 2022. A new LHS (Limited Height Subway) has been constructed in lieu of Level Crossing to divert the road traffic at the above location. Hence, all Road users are requested to use the newly constructed Subway.

Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division congratulated Shri E. Santharam, Sr. DEN, Coordination and Shri Ramana Rao, DEN Bridges and Engineering team for commissioning the LHS and permanent closure of Level Crossing in expeditious manner. DRM said that Division is making all out efforts to permanently close Level Crossings by providing RUBs (Road Under Bridge) or LHS (Limited Height Subway) at important points to enhance the safety in operations, and to increase sectional speed of the Coaching and Goods traffic.
