67th Railway Week-Divisional Level Celebrations

Division celebrated 67th Railway Week Divisional Level Function at
Railway Auditorium, Vijayawada today i.e., on 28.04.2022. Shri Shivendra
Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri
D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure, Shri M Srikanth, ADRM, Operations and
Smt Jaya Mohan, President, SCRWWO were the Guests of Honour.
At the outset, Shri M. Bala
Muralidhar, Sr. DPO welcomed the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour on to the
dias and delivered the welcome address. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shivendra
Mohan, DRM said that the Division has performed exceptionally well on the
safety front without any major incidents and casualties during the past
financial year. DRM also said the Division earned Rs. 3192.98 Cr during 2021-22 and achieved the freight
loading of 21.44MT, which is 9.2% above than last year. DRM said that on infrastructural front, Division have successfully undertaken Tripling, Branch line
Doubling works, commissioning of Pit
lines, Longer loop lines at Bittragunta and Nawabpalem, Passenger amenities
works, modernization of good sheds and various maintenance works. DRM said that
the during 2021-22, Division achieved average Goods interchange of 190 trains
per day, 23% more than previous year. DRM also that it is challenging road
ahead for the Division to meet the financial targets set by Railway Board for
the current financial year and advised the staff to continue the hard work with renewed
vigour, collective team efforts, proper
strategy, dedication and commitment to meet the current target. DRM lauded the
efforts of Frontline & medical staff for rendering services to staff by braving
all the odds despite the Covid pandemic and their immense contribution to keep
the Railways running. DRM congratulated all the 397 Individual Awardees and 41
Group awardees staff for rendering exemplary services during 2021-22. DRM also
said that these individual awardees represent the disciplined workforce of the
entire Division and suggested every employee to work hard with dedication.
DRM also congratulated all the Branch officers
for achieving Seven GM Shields in various categories for the year 2021-22.
DRM advised all the field staff to work in a coordinated & constructive
manner to ensure safety of passengers by according top priority to safety &
punctuality of trains. Later, DRM felicitated 48 Group D Staff for their exemplary
services to the Division. Shri B Saila Sudhakar, APO proposed vote of thanks
and concluded the event
