17 Phaco cataract surgeries performed in a single day at Railway Hospital, Vijayawada
Railway Hospital, Vijayawada is currently providing latest Phaco facilities for patients suffering with cataract. Dr. Md Nazeer Hussain, Chief Consultant Eye Surgeon, Dr Harish, Ophthalmologist, ADMO, Railway Hospital, Vijayawada and team are performing cataract surgeries through Phaco-emulsification to Railway beneficiaries across the length of the Division from Gudur to Anakapalle with excellent success rate. Phaco-Emulsification Surgery is the latest cataract surgery technique which involves state of the art technology and makes cataract surgery a safe and effective surgical procedure.
A cataract is a dense, cloudy area that forms in the lens of the
patient’s eye. The incidence is very common especially in the old age. It is
one of the most common causes for visual impairment in the world. The annual

July, 2022, 17 Phaco surgeries were performed by Dr. Md Nazeer Hussain, Dr
Harish and Team, which is highest ever in the history of Railway Hospital, Vijayawada. Usually 6-10 surgeries
are on single day. All the elderly patients are very happy with the latest high
end technology service being provided at the hospital and thanked Dr Nazeer and
