Vijayawada Division observes World Nature Conservation Day-2022
Theme: Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature
South Central Railway,
Vijayawada Division, observed World Nature Conservation Day-2022 on 28th
July, 2022. The theme of
World Nature Conservation Day 2022 is 'Living Sustainably in Harmony with
Nature.'The objective is to spread awareness regarding the preservation of
nature and biodiversity for a healthy environment which is required for stable
and prospering humankind.
Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional
Railway Manager on the occasion said that it is our duty is
to spread the message in society about the importance of flora and fauna that
are threatened with extinction. DRM said that Vijayawada Division is always in
the forefront in implementing environment friendly measures and adopting
innovative ways to reduce the carbon foot prints. Shri Shivendra Mohan appealed
to the passengers to shun the use of single use plastic and join hands to
preserve the ecology for a safe & sustainable future.
Bhaghat Singh Open Group of Bharat
Scouts & Guides, South Central Railway, Vijayawada distributed around 500
Cloth bags to all the staff of Divisional Office by holding the placards to
save ‘Mother Earth’ from plastic menace. Students visited every Department in
Divisional office to spread the message holding placards

participating and distributing cloth bags to everyone.
