38th RPF Raising Day Celebrations across Vijayawada Division










Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway celebrated its 38th Raising Day across the length of the Division on September 20, 2022. The Raising Day is celebrated to commemorate the conferring of Armed Force status on Railway Protection Force on par with the other Paramilitary forces of the Union of India.  It is one of the most prestigious celebrations, as it highlights the performance, morale, discipline, effectiveness and overall status of the Force. 

At Vijayawda, Suraksha Sammelan was organized by RPF at Divisional Railway Auditorium, Vijayawada. Shri Valleswara B Thokala, Sr. Divisional Security Commissioner graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Around 160 RPF Staff took part in the event. 

Shri Valleswara B Thokala Sr. DSC appreciated Railway Protection Force staff of Vijayawda  Division for their dedication and devotion towards duty.  Shri Valleswara B Thokala urged the staff to be courteous towards the Rail users and to be proactive in providing assistance to weaker sections of the society at railway stations and in trains. Sr. DSC appealed to the staff to keep going ahead with same momentum by ensuring safety & security of Passengers and Railway assets as primary motto.  Barakhana was arranged for entire RPF Staff, post the  Sammelan event    

As part of the Raising Day Celebrations, RPF has organized several events over Vijayawada Division. RPF Staff conducted plantation drives, blood donation camps and Passenger Awareness campaign in trains. Yoga Camp was organized Kakinada Post for the staff. RPF staff took part in Swachhata Abhiyaan as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwara to promote a greener and cleaner environment. At various Stations, RPF distributed food and fruits at Old age & Orphanage homes. At Rayanapadu Run For unity was conducted by the RPF Staff.
