Blood Donation Camp Organized at Railway Hospital, Vijayawada
South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division in Collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society organized Blood Donation Camp on September 23, 2022 at Railway Hospital, Vijayawada. The objective of this blood donation drive is to spread the awareness and importance of blood in the society, actively encourage voluntary blood donation and provide safe blood at affordable cost to the general public and free of cost to the poor.

21 Voluntary Donors donated blood on the occasion. Doctor’s and Employee’s took
part in the blood donation drive actively. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. D. Sita
Ram, ACMS, congratulated the Indian Red Cross Blood Centre Staff and Dr.
Shahida Sheikh, DMO for taking lead and organizing the camp with great
enthusiasm. Dr. D. Sita Ram, ACMS voluntarily donated the blood and said that
donating blood offers many health benefits and saves the lives of the needy
during emergency.
Dr. D. Sita Ram, ACMS said that after a person
donates blood, the body will replenish the blood loss by stimulating the
production of new blood cells and the new blood cells would help in maintaining
a person’s good health. He appealed to the staff to voluntarily come
forward, leave behind the stigma and contribute to the society by helping the needy.
