Rotary Midtown Vijayawada donates 5 Wheel Chairs for Passengers at Vijayawada Railway Station

Rotary Midtown, Vijayawada voluntarily donated 5 Wheel chairs for the convenience of passengers today i.e., 29th April, 2023 at Vijayawada Railway Station. Shri Vavilapalli Rambabu, IRTS, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division received the 5 Wheel Chairs from Shri AKS. Bhaskar Ram, District Governor, Rotary Midtown, Vijayawada.

Shri Vavilapalli Rambabu, IRTS commended the philanthropic and community service activities under taken by Rotary Mid Town for the past 5 decades. He said that the wheel chairs would be extremely helpful for Arthritis patients, Divyangjan and senior citizens in reaching their nominated coaches and exit points at Vijayawada Stations with ease. 

 Shri Vavilapalli Rambabu, IRTS appealed to the travelling public of make use of the wheel Chair services through License Porters or from IRCTC Kiosk at Platform no.1 by depositing nominal fee. He stated that Division is giving major priority to augment and scale up the passenger amenities and infrastructure at all the important stations through Corporate Social Responsibility, welfare activities and other viable means. He profoundly thanked Shri AKS. Bhaskar Ram and Rotary Midtown, Vijayawada Organization for voluntarily coming forward and donating the much needed amenity at Vijayawada Station

Shri P.B.N Prasad, Station Director, Vijayawada, Executive Members, Rotary Midtown, Vijayawada, Shri M.S.P. Srinivas, Chief Commercial Inspector, Other Inspectors, Ticket Checking and Booking Staff took part in the event at Vijayawada.
