Total 258 new recruits received Appointment Letters in the event
South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division organized the 4th tranche of Rozgar Mela-Mega Job Fair on 13th April, 2023 at Divisional Railway Auditorium, Vijayawada. Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State for Finance, Govt. of India graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, SCR, and other senior officials from different Central Government Ministries also participated in the program. Rozgar Mela was envisioned by Govt. of India with a commitment to provide continuous job opportunities for the youth and also to ensure welfare of citizen of the country.
At the outset, Shri Shivendra Mohan, DRM invited the Chief Guest Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State for Finance, Govt. of India and Smt. R. Bhagyalakshmi, Mayor, Vijayawada City on to the dais and inaugurated the Rozgar Mela by lighting the lamp and with prayer song. All the Dignitaries, Appointees and Staff witnessed the launch of Rozgar Mela by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister through video conferencing
At New Delhi, on this momentous occasion, Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched the 4th Rozgar Mela – distribution of appointment letters to 71000 candidates across the Nation. The Hon’ble Prime Minister congratulated the new appointees and stated that the youth are a beacon of hope and play an important role in Nation building. PM encouraged the new recruits to put in their best efforts and perform their duties sincerely and with utmost dedication towards building ‘New and Strong India’
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, Hon'ble Minister of State for Finance, Govt. of India, congratulated the newly selected recruits of Central Government and wished them all the best on beginning of a new chapter in their lives. He expressed immense happiness, joy and thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister for launching the brain child Rozgar Mela with a vision to empower youth. Shri Pankaj Chaudhary stated that the main priority of our government is to enroll 10 Lakh jobless youth into various Government sectors on mission mode. He said that need for interview for recruitment in Group-C & D posts were negated and the process was streamlined by adopting computer-based tests to facilitate transparent and fair means of appointment sans regional bias. He also said that, Government is supporting educated youth by launching Stand-Up & Start Up India initiatives to nurture the young entrepreneurship talents across the Nation. ‘Rs. 10 lakh Crores worth Infrastructural development in this regime has led to creation of many jobs for the youth and attracted huge sum of foreign investments’, he added. He suggested the appointed youth to not treat it as mere job but an opportunity to serve the fellow citizens of our Nations. Later, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary presented appointment letters to the new recruits of various Central Government departments and interacted with Print/Electronic Media.
In his welcome address, Shivendra Mohan, DRM stated that it is a Vijayawada Division is proud to host such a momentous event. He congratulated the appointees for a bright and prosperous future. He said that 258 new recruits belonging to Railways, Posts, Telecommunications, Labour & Employment and other Departments will be presented with Appointment letters. DRM stated that Rozgar Mela will usher in an era of prosperity and development for the youth.
Shri M. Srikanth, ADRM, Operations, Branch Officers, Officials from Department of Posts, AIR, PIB, Doordarshan, Labour & Employment, Ministry of Higher Education, ESI and Staff participated in the event
