Railway Officials counsel Catering Licensees and Vendors at Vijayawada Railway Station
Railway officials counselled catering vendors and licensees today i.e. 23rd May, 2023 at VIP longue Room, Station Directors Office , Vijayawada Railway Station. The objective of this counseling session is to prevent overcharging and other malpractices duly creating awareness among catering fraternity with focus on customer satisfaction, by ensuring quality, quantity and fair business practices
At the outset, Shri Md Ali Khan, Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division advised the Catering Licensees and Vendors to strictly adhere to the quantity and quality norms prescribed by the Administration. He stated that Officials are frequently conducting surprise checks at frequent intervals and maximum penalty would be imposed on cases of over charging, sale of non PAD items, expired food items, if detected. DCM instructed the RPF and ticket checking Staff Staff to take stern action against unauthorised hawkers found selling in the premises and apprehend them immediately. DCM also advised the water vending machine operators to dispose exact quantity and maintain the tds limit of the water. DCM directed the inspectors to frequently conduct suprise inspections and check the credentials of all the vendor permits of vendor on platform
Shri Chandra Sekhar, Food Safety Officer, Vijayawada Division advised the vendors to wear all the necessary gear during vending and refrain from unhygienic practices.
Shri P. B.N. Prasad, Station Director, Vijayawada, Shri MSP Srinivas, CCI, Vijayawada, Shri Sk Subhani, CCI Catering, other Inspectors, IRCTC Officials were present.
