Railway Hospital Vijayawada holds Seminar on "Nirbhay Bharat Sashakth Nari"

Railway Hospital conducted various awareness campaigns to enlighten women on health, women rights and empowerment. 

Divisional Railway Hospital, Vijayawada under the aegis of  AKAM (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) Jan Utsav " conducted seminar on Nirbhay Bharat - Sashakt  Nari  " at New OPD block on 28th June 2023. Dr M. SowriBala, Chief Medical Superintendent, Vijayawada graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

At the outset Dr.M.Jaideep ACMS(H & F.W) welcomed the audience and briefed the audience regarding  four impirtant aspects of the  program i.e 1.Health  & Nutrition 2.Education 3.Children Rights & Awareness.4.Women Rights  & Empowerment.

 Addresing the audience, Dr.M.Sowribala ,CMS/BZA  spoke about importance of Health & Nutrition in vulnerable population like women & Children. She highlighted the role of women in daily lives and how  nutrition and diet play a key role in women to  keep them healthy.

Dr.D.Sitaram, Paediatrician  breifed the audience about child Rights & Abuse prevention in day to day life. Around 150 women Railway employees & Beneficiaries attended the event.

As part of Nirbhay Bharat Sashakth Nari various awareness campaigns were conducted by Railway  Hospital Staff. Awareness Campaign was conducted  for school children at Jack & Jill school on 27th June.Around 200 children attended the event.

Awareness Rallies  were also taken up by Health inspectors at both colonies  & Station educating women home makers in colonies  &  Working women at station.
