Railway Hospital Vijayawada celebrates 'National Doctors Day'

Divisional Railway Hospital, Vijayawada celebrated National Doctors Day at Seminar Hall, New OPD Block on 1st July, 2023. The programme was jointly conducted by Department of Public Health & Family welfare and ARMO (Association of Railway Medical officers, Vijayawada). On this momentous occasion, Dr. M SowriBala, Chief Medical Superintendent, Vijayawada Hospital conveyed her heartful greetings and message of Director General, Indian Railway Health Services to the Doctors fraternity and Medical Team of Vijayawada Division.

In his opening address, Dr. M Jaideep ACMS (H&FW) welcomed the Doctors Team and wished them good health and prosperity. Dr. Murali, Ortho surgeon, Railway Hospital gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on 'History of the Doctors Day & Bibliography of Dr. B C Roy'.

Doctors observed two minutes silence in memory of the Doctors who lost their lives during the Covid pandemic. 

Doctors taking note of this year theme "Celebrating Resilience and Healing Hands", pledged to serve patients with compassion and dedication. This was followed by a Seminar on 'Lumbar Backache' by Dr. Murali / Ortho surgeon under continuing Medical Education (C.M.E) programme. Light Refreshments were served to doctors at the end of Event.

Dr. Satyanarayana, Chief Consultant; Dr. Ravikanth, ACMS, Administration, and Dr. Sitaram, Pediatrician and team of doctors took part in the event.
