Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, PCCM, SCR holds Business Development Meeting with Freight & Parcel Customers at Rajahmundry Station

 Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway presided over a meeting with Parcel & Freight Customers at VIP Lounge Room, Station Manager’s Office, Platform no.1, Rajahmundry Railway Station on 1st June, 2023. Shri Md. Ali Khan, DCM and Commercial Staff took part in the meeting with Parcel & Freight Customers and accompanied PCCM during the Station Inspection.

At the outset, Shri K. Raveen Kumar Reddy, PCCM thanked the esteemed Freight & Parcel Customers for their outstanding contribution towards railway revenue especially in FY 2022-23. Shri K. Raveen Kumar took stock of their demands for more rakes and room to transport consignments to various other zones. PCCM assured them full scale assistance in this regard. He advised the Officials to devise an action plan to meet the Customers’ demands for more space in SLR, Parcel Vans by coordinating with the counter parts in the other zones and Divisions. PCCM advised the freight customers to undertake proper measures like availability of labour, trucks to ensure prompt loading of rakes within free time. PCCM appealed to the Freight & Parcel customers to avoid train detentions and untoward incidents due to rough handling and over loading. PCCM said that passenger safety and punctuality are top most aspects in train operations. In the end, PCCM appreciated the hard work of field level BDU (Business development Unit) teams at Rajahmundry for garnering additional earnings and achieving new streams of traffic for the Division through constant negotiations and dialogue with esteemed Freight & Parcel customers.

Later, PCCM conducted inspection of Parcel Office at Rajahmundry Station. PCCM advised the Parcel Staff to strictly adhere to safety measures like emptying of tank while loading of bikes into SLR and Parcel Vans. PCCM also inspected the Passenger amenities available on the station. Later PCCM proceeded by road  to Kakinada Sea Port Limited for inspection and review of Port performance
