7th DRM Cup- Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament held

 

South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division conducted 7^th DRM Cup Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament at Railway Stadium, Vijayawada. Total 14 teams from different Branches such as 1) Mechanical (C&W) 2) Railway Protection Force (RPF) 3) Commercial 4) Electrical Loco Shed (ELS) 5) Diesel Loco shed (DLS) 6) Operating 7) Accounts  8) Personnel  9) Engineering 10) Electrical (Maintenance) 11) Electrical (TRSO) 12) Signal & Telecommunications (S&T) 13) Rayanapadu Wagon Workshop and 14) Electrical (TrD) participated in the above said tournament.

The final match was held today i.e., 27^th December, 2023 at Railway Stadium, Vijayawada. The final match was played between Electrical (TRSO) and Rayanapadu Wagon Workshop teams. Rayanapadu Wagon Workshop team won the match and bagged the 7^th DRM Cup- Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament Trophy. Electrical (TRSO) team was runners-up and the third place was bagged by Electrical Loco Shed (ELS) team. Man of the series award was given to K. Sagar from Electrical (TRSO) team. 25 best players from all the teams were selected to represent Vijayawada Division in the forthcoming South Central Railway Inter-Divisional Cricket Championship.

Shri Narendra A Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway congratulated the teams and appealed the staff to inculcate the importance of physical fitness to lead a healthy life. Shri D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure, Shri Valleswara Babji Thokkala, Sr. DSC & Divisional Sports Officer and P Venkateswara Rao, ADFM, Vijayawada Division & Treasurer/ South Central Railway Sports Association congratulated the winners and runners up players.
