Vijayawada Division Observes 67th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr.B.R.Ambedkar

 South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division observed  67^th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar today i.e., 6^th December, 2023 at Divisional Railway Auditorium Vijayawada. Shri. Narendra A. Patil, Divsional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri. D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure and Shri M. Srikanth, ADRM, Operations were Guests of Honour.

At the outset Shri M. Bala Muralidhar, Sr. DPO welcomed Chief Guest Shri. Narendra A. Patil, DRM, and dignitaries on to the dais. DRM & ADRM’s paid homage by garlanding the portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and by lighting the lamp. Floral tributes were paid by all the Branch Officers, Representatives of SC/ST Association & Trade Union to Babasaheb Ambedkar to mark his Death Anniversary.

 Addressing the large gathering present on the occasion, Shri. Narendra A. Patil, DRM hailed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as the Greatest Soul & Sterling Statesman ever in the history of Indian Nation.  Shri. Narendra A. Patil said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s had a magnanimous impact on the Nation and was a symbol of hope & guiding light for millions of people languishing in abject poverty and sans dignity. Shri. Narendra A. Patil, DRM highlighted that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s life story is the greatest source of inspiration and motivation, who by virtue of intelligence, hard work & passion and without any background support, rose on to become the founding father of Indian Constitution.

DRM pointed that though India is a diverse Nation with various Religions, caste & creed across the lines, our Democracy & Unity remains to be the strongest in the World due to the supreme efforts of Stalwart Ambedkar Ji and his guiding force- “The Constitution of India”. Shri. Narendra A. Patil, DRM exhorted the staff to read one book of Babasaheb every year to draw inspiration from his body of work.  DRM recollected his memories of visiting “Deeksha Bhoomi” & “Chaitya Bhoomi” the two places considered to be of great importance in the life of Babsaheb Ambedkar.

Earlier a short film on Life Story of Babsaheb Ambedkar was displayed in the Auditorium which was well received by the audience with huge round of applause. All India SC& ST Railway Employees Association, Vijayawada members, Trade Union Members, All India OBC Railway Employees Association Members, thanked the administration for the support and spoke highly of the Contributions of Babsaheb to the Nation .
