Town Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting and Prize Distribution Ceremony held

 

The Meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) was held today, i.e. 24^th January 2024 at Divisional Railway Auditorium, Vijayawada. Shri Narendra A. Patil, Chairman TOLIC and Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Shri M Srikanth, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) and Apar Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari, Vijayawada Division was the Guest of Honour.
 
Shri Narendra A. Patil, Chairman, TOLIC and Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division while addressing the gathering laid out the importance Hindi plays as Rajbhasha. He expressed satisfaction with the working of the Rajbhasha Department of the Division and the meetings of TOLIC are being organized on time. He said that in today’s time it is very easy to learn and use Hindi for official work. The usage of Hindi also gets impetus due to such programmes and competitions. DRM appreciated the works undertaken by the various central government organisations towards implementation and usage of Hindi in day-to-day working.
 
The programme began with the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Shri Asha Mahesh Kumar, Member Secretary TOLIC and Rajbhasha Adhikari, Vijayawada Division, SCR welcomed the guests, heads of the TOLIC member organisations, competition winners, participants and judges.
At the outset of the meeting, Shri M. Srikanth, ADRM (Operations), Vijayawada Division, SCR in his address said that the Division is privileged to have hosted such an event. He thanked the TOLIC Members for their active participation and read out the important events carried out by the Railways. He emphasised on the importance of Hindi and also urged the members to follow the scheduled calendar of events.
 
Earlier, Shri Asha Mahesh Kumar, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Vijayawada Division presented TOLIC report through PPT and requested all offices to continue active implementation of Rajbhasha. He gave necessary information regarding the various activities taken up by the committee organisations of TOLIC and presented their progress report.

A total of 276 employees and officers had participated in Hindi News Reading, Noting & Drafting, Essay Writing, Poetry Recitation, Elocution, Quiz and Antakshari from 40 Central Government Organisations based in Vijayawada. Shri Narendra A. Patil, DRM Vijayawada Division the chief guest awarded the certificates to 72 winners of the various competitions which were held from 11^th to 18^th December, 2023.
