Rapido Bike Pickup Point Service launched at Vijayawada Railway Station
Passengers can now avail the Hassle-free, round-the-clock Pickup Services right at the door step of Vijayawada Railway Station
In its constant
endeavor to fulfill the aspirations of esteemed passengers, Vijayawada Division,
South Central Railway launched Rapido Bike Pick-up/Drop point services at Vijayawada
Railway station near Second East Entrance today, i.e, 1st February, 2024. Shri
Narendra A Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, South Central Railway graced the
occasion as chief guest. The contract was awarded under the concept of NINFRIS
(New Innovative Non-Fare Revenue Idea Scheme) initiative by temporarily leasing
a space of 300 SqFt at East Entrance of Vijayawada Railway Station.
This is a win-win
situation for both Vijayawada and Rapido Firm in terms revenue and the extraordinary
footfall and patronage at Vijayawada Railway Station. The contract was awarded
under temporary leasing and Collaborative Marketing Promotion space initiative
by Commercial Department. This Collaborative Marketing Partnership between Vijayawada
Division and Rapido shall feature Rapido branding and effective promotion of
UTS mobile App, the user-friendly app for hassle-free Unreserved Ticketing. This
initiative is launched with a mission to encourage digital transactions and
providing convenient, hassle-free journey for its esteemed rail users. Vijayawada
Division adopted this novel initiative with the help of Rapido, which provides
users to easily locate the pickup and drop point of Rapido Services at Vijayawada
Railway Station and educate the passengers about UTS Mobile app. Already Rapido
services were launched recently at Rajahmundry. Plans are afoot to launch the
services at Ongole, Kakinada Town and Eluru too.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Narendra A Patil, DRM
congratulated the Rapido Bike Pick-up/ Drop point staff for launching their
user-friendly services at such a prime location which witnesses more than one
lakh daily commuters every day and improving the ease of access. DRM also complimented
the commercial department of Vijayawada Division for coming up with innovative
ideas under the concept of Non-Fare Revenue which are passenger friendly. He
also said that such initiatives will facilitate the passengers to easily locate
the pickup and drop location of Rapido services. Shri Rambabu Vavillapalli,
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division said that such collaborative
marketing partnership is mutually beneficial for both Rapido & Railways as
user can access the services with mobile
applications at hand which are purely cashless and digital.
