Shri Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, SCR Reviews Vijayawada Division’s Performance

Focus on Safety, Punctuality, and
Infrastructure Modernisation






Shri Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager (AGM), South Central Railway (SCR), conducted a comprehensive Safety and Performance Review Meeting of the Vijayawada Division today i.e., 11th June, 2025 at Divisional Conference Hall, Vijayawada. The review meeting was attended by Shri Narendra A Patil, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), along with Shri P.E. Edwin, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure), Shri Srinivasa Rao Konda, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), and senior branch officers of the Division.

Shri Srinivasa Rao Konda presented an overview of the division’s performance through a detailed PowerPoint presentation. The AGM reviewed Vijayawada Division’s achievements in safety, punctuality, and infrastructure execution over the previous financial year. He lauded the officials and staff for their consistent and commendable performance across operational metrics and urged them to maintain this momentum in the current year.

Special emphasis was laid on the progress of the Amrit Bharat Stations, where Shri Agrawal directed that all passenger amenities, signages, and Divyangjan facilities must adhere strictly to policy guidelines. He called for swift improvements in stations under redevelopment to meet passenger expectations.

Addressing punctuality, Shri Agrawal urged the Division to develop a concrete action plan to overcome operational bottlenecks impacting train mobility and speed. He also instructed prompt and root-cause-based resolution of passenger grievances raised on the Rail Madad platform.

In the domain of safety, the AGM reviewed the ongoing safety action plans and reiterated the importance of strict compliance with safety norms. He emphasized the need for regular field inspections and proactive monitoring of track parameters to ensure timely maintenance and prevent disruptions.

Highlighting asset reliability, Shri Agrawal instructed that day-to-day asset maintenance should be prioritized to minimize failures. He stressed continuous training and awareness among field staff to foster a safer and more efficient working environment.

“The Vijayawada Division has consistently demonstrated operational excellence. The focus must now be on sustaining these results and raising the bar further,” Shri Agrawal said in his closing remarks.
