Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway holds Ticket Checking Performance Review Meeting

 

A comprehensive performance review meeting of ticket checking staff was held today, i.e., 25^th June 2025 at DRM Conference Hall, Vijayawada under the leadership of Shri Rambabu Vavilapalli, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division, SCR. The meeting was attended by Squad In-charges and Amenities Supervisors from across the Division.

Addressing the gathering, the Sr. DCM emphasized the pivotal role of Ticket Travelling Examiners (TTEs) in upholding the image and operational integrity of Indian Railways.“TTEs are the face of Indian Railways. Your professionalism, conduct, and diligence reflect directly on the organization,” he remarked.

He urged the staff to be meticulous in their duties, ensuring no case of concession quota misuse, ticket name change, or non-availability of ID cards goes unchecked. Vigilance and thorough verification were underscored as essential elements in day-to-day working.

The meeting also served as a platform to review performance shortfalls, identify gaps, and suggest practical improvements. Open interaction was encouraged, with staff sharing challenges and grievances faced in the field. The Sr. DCM assured the gathering that both personal and professional concerns, along with passenger-related issues, would be addressed promptly and empathetically.

He further reiterated the importance of complete uniform discipline, urging TTEs to be role models in personal and public conduct. “Professionalism must be our hallmark. Each one of you plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for passengers,” he stated.

The session concluded on a high note with the felicitation of top performers for the months of April and May 2025. Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the best-performing TTEs as a token of recognition for their dedication and service.

Shri BVNS Ravi Prasad, Assistant Commercial Manager and Ms. Nusrat M Mandrupkar, Public Relations Officer, Vijayawada Division attended the meeting along with 30 Staff. The Vijayawada Division continues to uphold high standards in passenger services, and such review meetings are part of its on-going efforts to strengthen frontline operations through training, motivation, and mutual dialogue.
