Hon’ble Minister Reviews Railway Development Works in Vijayawada Division, SCR

 

Shri Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Government of India, met Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway at DRM’s office today, i.e. 24th October 2025.

 

During the meeting, the Hon’ble Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing development works at Amrit Stations — Narasapur, Tadepalligudem, and Bhimavaram as well as Road Over Bridge (ROB) & Road Under Bridge (RUB) projects in Narasapuram Parliamentary Constituency. The stoppage of trains at key stations and new services as well as provision of passenger amenities was also discussed.

 

The Minister appreciated the efforts of Vijayawada Division in enhancing passenger facilities and expediting infrastructure works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

 

Shri Vinay Chowdary, IRS, PS to Hon'ble Minister, Vijayawada Division, SCR Branch Officers of Engineering, Commercial and Electrical Departments along with officials from Gati Shakti Unit, Vijayawada were also present during the meeting.
