Seminar on Financial Literacy and Awareness Programme for Women Employees held at Vijayawada Division

 

Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway organised a Seminar on Financial Literacy and Awareness Programme exclusively for women employees on 8th October 2025. The session aimed to empower women with essential financial knowledge to help them make informed decisions in personal and family financial planning.

Dr. V. Narendra, SEBI Resource Person for Financial Literacy, served as the Chief Spokesperson for the session. In his engaging and informative address, he covered a wide range of topics including “Budget for the Month, for Life, and for Future,” the difference between term and life insurance, various investment options, and key resources for improving financial literacy.

The seminar highlighted the importance of financial independence and prudent planning, encouraging participants to adopt disciplined saving and investment habits. The session also included interactive discussions where participants clarified their queries on savings, insurance, and long-term financial security.

Ms. Nusrat M. Mandrupkar, Public Relations Officer, Vijayawada Division, proposed the Vote of Thanks, appreciating The Personnel Department of Vijayawada Division and Dr. V. Narendra and his team for conducting such an insightful and enriching programme.

The event concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their understanding of personal finance and investment planning. Smt.
