Shri Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar recieves “Sreshtha Divyangjan” National Award from Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India

International Para Sportsman who won 11 Gold, 5 Silver, 4 bronze medals in international events  in Swimming, Athletic and Archery events and represented our Country at many International Events 

Shri Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar, Booking Supervisor, Vijayawada is bestowed with “Sreshtha Divyangjan” National Award for Individual Excellence in the Sports category for the year 2021. On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Shri Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar received the Sreshtha Divyangjan award from Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India at Awards function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi today i.e., 03rd December, 2022. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment announced these awards recently.

Shri Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar, Booking Supervisor in Commercial Department of Vijayawada Division, is an International Para Sportsman who represented India at many International Events like Asian Para games (6 Times), Common World Wealth Games, World Games (2 Times), IPC World Para Athletic Championship in Swimming, Athletic and Archery events. He won 11 Gold, 5 Silver, 4 bronze medals in international events and 28 Gold Medals, 7 Silver and 4 Bronze in National events. 

Shri Shivendra Mohan, Divisional Railway Manager congratulated Mr. Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar for winning the National Award and making the Division proud. . DRM praised the contributions of Shri Subbaiah Thirumalai Kumar in the field of sports and called up on the staff to emulate his services for earning recognition with excellence. Shri D.
