Dr. Varsha Patil takes charge as President, SCRWWO Vijayawada Division

Dr. Varsha Patil visits Units and School run by SCRWWO

Dr. Varsha Patil has taken charge as President, SCRWWO Vijayawada Division today ie., 22^nd July 2023. She is the wife of Shri Narendra Anandrao Patil, IRTS, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, SCR. She did her MD Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Pune University; Fellowship in minimal access surgery, Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition from National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad and Certificate in Healthcare Management from ISB, Hyderabad.

Dr. Varsha Patil is presently working as an Associate Professor at Grant Government Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals Mumbai. She is also working as consultant at major corporate hospitals in Mumbai. She has worked in multiple Railway Hospitals and Government Hospitals.

She gives special emphasis on holistic healing for the entire family including practice of yoga and regular physical activity for the entire family. Dr. Varsha Patil says ‘Mental health should take central role and work-life balance has to be given due consideration.’

After taking charge Dr. Varsha visited the various units like Asha Kiran – a day care for specially challenged children, Spoorthi – a place of healing for deaf, dumb and children suffering with autism, etc. She also interacted with faculty and children at E-World, Career World and Jack & Jill School, which are run by SCRWWO.

Dr. Jaya Mohan, present President of SCRWWO briefed Dr. Varsha Patil on the various activities of the units while handing over the working papers and accounting documents of the SCRWWO and its allied units. SCRWWO is a registered NGO which works towards the betterment of Railway Families, their children in particular and of society in general. Dr. Jaya Mohan also welcomed the new President along with the Executive and other Members of SCRWWO.
