Shri Shanmuga Vadivel S assumes charge as Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway

Shri Shanmuga Vadivel S, a seasoned officer of the 2014 batch of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has taken charge as the Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (Sr. DSC) of Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway.

A native of Tamil Nadu, Shri Vadivel is a graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (B.Tech) from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA University). His distinguished journey in the Railway Protection Force began after he successfully cleared the prestigious Civil Services Examination in 2014.

With a career spanning over nine years, Shri Vadivel has held several key assignments across Indian Railways, including noteworthy tenures as Senior Divisional Security Commissioner at Northern Railway’s Moradabad Division, Divisional Security Commissioner at Northeast Frontier Railway’s Tinsukia Division, and Security Commissioner at Southern Railway’s Chennai Division. His vast experience in operational planning, crime prevention, and passenger safety has been marked by professionalism, innovation, and a deep commitment to public service.

Shri Shanmuga Vadivel brings to Vijayawada Division a vision of enhancing security infrastructure, improving passenger safety, and strengthening coordination with other law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure railway environment.

On assuming charge, Shri Vadivel expressed his enthusiasm to work with the team at Vijayawada Division and reaffirmed his dedication to upholding the core values of the Railway Protection Force viz., Service, Security and Protection.
