Medical Camp organised for Children of Asha Kiran & Jack & Jill School by SCRWWO Vijayawada Division
The South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SCRWWO), Vijayawada Division, organised a special medical camp for the children of Asha Kiran, a daycare centre for differently-abled children, and Jack & Jill English Medium School run by SCRWWO. The initiative aimed to ensure regular health monitoring and promote overall well-being among children.
The camp was held under the guidance of Smt. Varsha Sonakiya, President, SCRWWO, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway. She was joined by Smt. Swapna (Secretary), Smt. Prasuna (Joint Secretary), Smt. Bharathi (Secretary, Asha Kiran), Smt. Vasanthika, Smt. Nazia, and Smt. Krishna Chaitanya (Treasurer, Jack & Jill School) in organising and coordinating the event.
A dedicated team of doctors of Divisional Hospital, Vijayawada led by Dr. A.V.S.K. Prasad, Chief Medical Superintendent, conducted comprehensive health check-ups for the children. The medical team also included Dr. Jaideep, ACMS (Health & Family Welfare), Dr. Ravikanth, ACMS (Administration), and Dr. Seetaram, Paediatrician & ACMS, who provided expert consultations and guidance.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Varsha Sonakiya emphasised SCRWWO’s continuous efforts toward the welfare of children and families of railway employees. She appreciated the doctors for their dedicated service and the teachers and caregivers for their commitment to nurturing the children.
The camp concluded with the distribution of health advice sheets and awareness materials for parents and caregivers, reinforcing SCRWWO’s mission to foster a healthy, inclusive, and caring environment within the railway community.
